Definition of slewing bearing
The slewing bearing also called slewing ring bearing is a new type of mechanical component. It consists of inner and outer rings and rolling elements. The slewing bearing is a large bearing that can withstand comprehensive loads. It can withstand large axial and radial loads and overturning moments at the same time.
Material: C45, 50Mn (carbon structural steel), 42CrMo (alloy structural steel). Usually, 50Mn and 42CrMo are used.
Roller: it is made of GCr15 or GCr15SiMn steel.
Sealing: The material of the sealing ring is generally made of oil-resistant nitrile rubber (NRB). For special requirements, hydrogenated nitrile rubber (HNRB) and fluorine rubber (FKM) can be selected.
It has a compact structure and is easy to use, easy to install, and maintain. It has been widely used in marine equipment, engineering machinery, light industry machinery, metallurgical machinery, medical machinery, industrial machinery, and other industries.
The shape types of most slewing bearings are as follows：
1.External tooth 2.Internal tooth 3.Toothless 4.Flange type
Installation of the slewing bearings:
Before installing the slewing bearing, check the mounting surface of the main engine. The support should have sufficient strength, the connecting surface should be machined, and the surface should be smooth and free of debris and burrs. For those that cannot be machined to achieve the required flatness, special plastics with high injection strength can be used as fillers to ensure the accuracy of the installation plane and to reduce vibration.
The ring of the slewing bearing has a quenched soft zone, which is marked with “S” on the end face of the ring. The position of the soft zone should be placed in the non-load area or the non-recurrent load zone (the plug hole is always in the soft Belt).
When installing the slewing bearing, perform radial positioning first, tighten the mounting bolts crosswise, and check the rotation of the bearing. There should be sufficient pre-tightening force when tightening the bolts, and the pre-tightening force should be 70% of the yield limit of the bolt material. Mounting bolts should be equipped with quenched and tempered flat washers and spring washers are strictly prohibited.
DK-Bearing provides standard and custom slewing bearings.
